The accusations leveled against Humana Fundación Pueblo para Pueblo for many years concern the organization fundamentally because they can confuse society about the exemplary activity of textile waste management carried out since 1987, the year in which the entity began its work in Spain.
All the recurring erroneous, malicious and very far from reality information that have appeared in various media have the purpose of generating social distrust in the activity of a Spanish foundation, legally established and that scrupulously fulfills its aims and duties.
That is why the Foundation needs to clear up, once again, the doubts about the main accusations that have appeared in certain media. Humana and its legal services promptly analyze these accusations, assessing in each case the response to be offered and the possible legal measures to be taken.
Said accusations have no basis whatsoever, since all of Humana's activity is fully regulated and subject to the control and certification of the public administration, since it is a Foundation, registered in the Registry of Welfare Foundations of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports with the number 08-0347. It is also an entity classified as a Non-Governmental Organization for Development NGO by AECID.
Humana Fundación Pueblo para Pueblo is not a sect, nor does it collaborate, nor is it the arm of any sect in Spain. There is no sectarian behavior in the organization or in the Federation of which it is part.
Regarding the relationship between Humana and the Tvind Schools, the Foundation wishes to insist that both entities have a common origin, but they are two independent organizations. Some of the international volunteers who help with Humana's local partner projects in Africa come from these Danish schools.
On the other hand, the entity's annual accounts are audited by Moore Stephens Addveris Auditores y Consultores S.L.P, and are available in the ‘Accounts’ section of this same website. Humana also holds the NGO Benchmarking seal of SGS, a world benchmark in verification and certification.
