Yesterday Humana Textile Reused Awards of Galicia were deliveried in the Hostal dos Reis Católicos of Santiago de Compostela. These awards recognize and thank the collaboration of citizens, town halls and companies in the field of reuse and recycling of used clothing and development cooperation.
The event was attended mainly by representatives of the municipalities and public and private entities of Galicia that collaborate with the Foundation.
The winners in the case of Galicia are the following:
The presentations were given by Javier Domínguez, President of SOGAMA-Sociedade Galega do Meio Ambiente, and Francisco Durán, Dean of the Faculty of Geography and History of the University of Santiago.

The seventh edition of Humana Day is dedicated to the importance of promoting quality, equitable and inclusive education for the development of the most disadvantaged communities in the Southern Hemisphere. Education is a key element in the fight against poverty and in the development of communities and people. The Sustainable Development Objective number 4 is dedicated to education and its main objective is to "guarantee and promote opportunities for lifelong learning for all".
