Textiles continue to gain weight within the framework of CONAMA, National Congress on the Environment

26-11-2024

From November 2 to 5, CONAMA, the National Congress on the Environment, takes place, held every two years in Madrid. It is undoubtedly the most important national event dedicated to environmental protection and resource and waste management.

Humana Fundación Pueblo para Pueblo will play a leading role during the event, participating in:

  • Strategies to conserve and restore ecosystems, biodiversity and natural resources, integrating sustainable approaches to use and protection. Roundtable 3: Technical communications on initiatives in Nature Restoration. CONAMA Innova. Tuesday, December 3, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Damiana Conde, head of the 3C Program, will have a few minutes to present the program.
  • Technical Session No. 36. Circular economy in the textile and footwear sector. Thursday, December 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Monfragüe Room (N105). Among the speakers was Rafael Mas, Director of Projects and Institutional Relations at Humana.

Our presence at both events is a consequence of the work carried out over the last few months, participating in different Working Groups and in their respective preparatory meetings, preparing documents related to our activity and positioning in the sector.

At CONAMA, we also have our own stand. It is stand number 3. We look forward to hearing from you about traceability, preparation for reuse, circularity and the global second-hand clothing market, among other aspects.

All these issues show that Humana has established itself as a key player in the management of textile waste. At the same time, it shows that we are gradually gaining relevance in segments such as agroecology and urban agriculture through the 3C Program.
