Multi-sector approach under the Humana People to People umbrella
The reality of Southern communities in which the Foundation and its local partners work requires wide-ranging initiatives that act simultaneously on aspects as diverse as the improvement of education, agriculture, water, sanitary conditions or human rights ; always in the face of favoring sustainable development through actions that last over time and obtain results in the medium and long term, even when the project has ended. Therefore, the empowerment of the local population is paramount, as the main lever to achieve the improvement of their living conditions.
The development actions of the Foundation and its local partners are implemented under the umbrella of Humana People to People. The sum of independent organizations with common goals, strategies and sensitivities is the basis of this Federation. Sister organizations that work globally, establishing bridges between hemispheres and continents and that, at the same time, act at the local level, community to community, person to person. The experience of several decades in the field of international development aid allows sharing knowledge and possible solutions to similar problems.
The 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals make up the global road map that Humana takes into account in its work in the South.
