The objective of the Humana Social Farming Program is promoting this type of agriculture and providing economic support to various Catalan organizations deemed of interest.

Humana parts of the  experience in projects of agriculture and food security in developing countries of the South to promote sustainable agricultural models in Catalonia between organizations also play a social work or because they specialize in organic or because work in the exclusion area.

Entities selected in 2012 
The Foundation has selected in the first round three initiatives of the 22 submitted. It is the following:

* Association Sant Tomas PARMO: selected for its farming project in Plana de Vic
* Company Amunt.Ebre d'insertions: draft processing and marketing of organic food products linked to the inclusion of people at risk of social exclusion
* Eco Agroambiental Punt: hortoterapia project with people at risk of social exclusion in the city of Lleida

Taller Jeroni de Moragas (San Cugat, Barcelona). 'Capacitació laboral per persones en risc d’exclusio social en l’àmbit de la producció agrícola' project.

Associació Xicòria (Montblanc, Tarragona). 'Desenvolupament comunitari als horts Socials de Montblanc' project.

Fundació Privada Onyar-La Selva. 'Reconversió del centre especial de treball ONYAR vers l’agricultura i l’alimentació ecològica i l’aprofitament energètic de la biomassa forestal' project.

Associació d’Amics del Jardí Botànic de Barcelona. 'Sembren Il•lusió. Un viver de producció a l’hort del jardí botànic històric de Barcelona' project

-The economic potential for job creation and the promotion of training in the field of social exclusion
-The economic viability
-The use of new for the promotion, marketing and planning through the platform for Advanced Serveis d'Informàtica SAVIAE organic farming
-The involvement of multiple social
-The technical quality of the proposal
